Grace Fae
Award-winning Actress
Grace Fae is a dramatic and comedic actress with experience in film and television, and on stage. Grace grew up in suburban Connecticut, and graduated from Yale University cum laude with a Theater/ English degree. After college, Grace acted in musicals and plays on West Coast stages, winning Best Actress in a Drama at the Sacramento Area Regional Theater Awards in 2013 for her performance in Tennessee Williams' Kingdom of Earth as an irrepressible Southern showgirl with a dark past. She then served as Executive Director of theater company Synthetic Unlimited for three years, producing, directing and acting in classic plays, and transitioned to film acting in Los Angeles in 2016.
Jazz Singer
Grace has been singing the American Songbook since she was a kid. She was raised on a steady stream of old Hollywood movie musicals and original Broadway cast recordings. She started voice lessons at the Hartford Conservatory in Connecticut at age eleven, and performed in musicals and operas at Yale, singing at the Operafestival di Roma in Italy and with the College Light Opera Company on Cape Cod in the summers. After college, Grace sang in Jackson Square and venues in New Orleans and then moved to Northern California, singing with a Middle Eastern belly dance band, a Western Swing group, a big band, and her own jazz ensemble. Grace released an original jazz/folk album From the Apple in 2012.
Current Projects
Now based in Los Angeles, Grace sings jazz with The Satin Dollz, Got That Swing!, Bobby Barron and the Swing Thing Band and her own band The Grandbirds, specializing in vintage jazz from the 1920s to the 1940s. She has a recurring television role as a fairy godmother on Roku’s Charlie, now on Amazon Prime.
