Grace Fae and the Grandbirds is a vintage jazz band based in Los Angeles, specializing in swinging songs from the 1920s- 1940s, with some French and Spanish tunes. Grace is a versatile vocalist with the warm resonance of Peggy Lee, classical training, and an improvisational style like Ella Fitzgerald. The Grandbirds can perform primarily 1920s tunes for a Gatsby party, 1940s for a WW2 themed event, mid- tempo swing dance tunes perfect for dancers, late night contemporary jazz. and even have an entire set of classic vintage love tunes, customized for weddings and engagement parties. We also have a unique set of classic holiday jazz tunes.
The Grandbirds include some of the most seasoned & exciting jazz instrumentalists in Los Angeles, including Tsugumi Shikano or Satoshi Kirisawa on drums, virtuoso Ian Solomon or Leslie Baker on upright bass, the incredible Wayne Wilentz or Brad Bietry on piano, and some of the best saxophone, clarinet and trumpet players in town, like Myles Davis or Corey Gemme. Grace sings classic tunes by Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin, the Gershwin brothers, and Fats Waller in new and energizing arrangements.

The tune's from 1928, by Jimmy McHugh and Dorothy Fields who overheard a fella say this to his gal outside Tiffany's in New York, and wrote the song that day! Band members are Ken Park (drums), Leslie Baker (upright bass), Chris Glik (piano), Michael Mull (saxophone), Joe Leyva (trumpet), Mark Witt (trombone), and Grace Fae on vocals.
